Accessing Microsoft Exchange 2010 on Panther

Using Apple Mail 1.3.11, is it possible to access a Microsoft Exhange Server 2010? Our American based parent company which is overwhelmingly PC orientated has upgraded to 2010 Exchange Server from 2003 leaving our eMacs unable to send e-mails although receiving e-mails does not pose a problem.

The use of a webmail client has also proven difficult as Safari and Firefox from that time have poor java support
